HOW TO REACH PATRAS
In case you're coming in Greece by plane (International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos, Athens) (which is the most usual way), you can arrive in Patras by
rented car (following the new national highaway from Athens)
by coach (which is the best and quickest way). There are coach services from Athens to Patras and vice versa. The trip lasts 2.5-3 hours (Cost of the ticket: around 20 euros). Here you can find a timetable for the coaches from Athens to Patras and from Patras to Athens. This timetable may change without prior notice, but in general there are coaches between Athens and Patras every half an hour. The coach terminal in Athens is called the "KTEL Peloponnisou (Kifissos station)" and there is a direct bus connection with the airport (Bus X93-Cost of the ticket: around 5 euros). From the airport to KTEL Peloponnisou (Kifissos station), the bus needs about 45-50 minutes. For the timetable and the bus stops of X93 click here.
by train (OSE). However, the train starts from Athens and stops at Kiato, due to reconstruction of the train line. Then there is a bus connection arranged by OSE from Kiato to Patras. If you choose to travel by train, please contact the organizers for more information.
You should also keep in mind that Patras has a port which connects Greece with Italy. Ferries leave daily from and to Italy connecting Bari, Brindisi, Ancona and Venice with Patras.
